The Giant Pacific Manta can grow to 22 feet in width, and weigh 3000 pounds. Yet despite their enormity, Mantas are relatively harmless to Humans, and actually approach an interact with divers in Mexican waters hundreds of nautical miles from civilization. Mantas are plankton feeders and have no stinging barb on the tail. Photographed in the Revillagigedos Archipelago of Mexico.

Some so-called "wildlife" photographers, make their reputations selling images of captive, and baited animals and birds posed by professional handlers, and photographed at game farms, and various pre-selected scenic locations.
