Description
Bottlenose Dolphins are part of the Whale family, and in fact are small toothed whales. Pacific Bottlenose live in temperate and tropical waters, and are generally found in the Eastern Pacific from Southern California to Chile. These Oceanic type Bottlenose inhabit deeper, cooler waters and are better adapted to deep diving, hunting and defense against predators than the smaller inshore type Dolphins. Photographed near Socorro Island in the Revillagegedos Archipelago.
