Common Grunts are native to the Western Atlantic Ocean. These reef fish are usually found schooling around reef structures in shallow to medium depth water. Grunts reach about 12 inches in length, and feed on shrimp, crustaceans, and mollusks among others. Grunts are normally prey for Barracuda and Reef Sharks. These fish normally have a blue and yellow stripe coloration, but have some ability to change color to match background.
