The Tiger Shark is among the most dangerous of sharks, second only to the Great White, and should be respected. Tigers often visit shallow reefs, harbors, and river mouths where humans are likely to be. The Tiger Shark is a macro predator feeding on whatever it finds. Prey can include; fish, crustaceans, sea birds, snakes, dolphins, turtles, seals, sharks, rays, livestock, whale carcasses, license plates, anchor chains, etc... This pregnant Female was photographed in the Atlantic Ocean near the Western Bahamas.
I have been blessed with many opportunities. Some so-called "wildlife" photographers, make their reputations selling images of captive, and baited animals and birds posed by professional handlers, and photographed at game farms, and various pre-selected scenic locations. All my wildlife images are of wild animals only, and are the result of countless hours, days, weeks...etc of effort.
