The Cross Fox is a color variant of the more common Red Fox. The Cross Fox is more common in the Northern areas of the US and through out Canada. The Cross Fox is so named for the dark band of fur running along it's spine which is crossed at the shoulders by another band of dark fur. The Cross Fox may be slightly larger than the Red Fox, and with a slightly bushier tail.
I have been blessed with many opportunities. Some so-called "wildlife" photographers, make their reputations selling images of captive, and baited animals and birds posed by professional handlers, and photographed at game farms, and various pre-selected scenic locations.
