Description
The Lemon Shark is found in the subtropical waters of the Western Atlantic Ocean. The yellow-brown coloration of the dorsal area provides ideal camouflage for the Shark as it swims, and hunts over the sandy bottom of it's hunting grounds. Lemon Sharks usually range eight to ten feet in length. Medium to large reef fishes are their primary prey. Lemon Sharks are known to hunt and feed in packs, and are thought to be quite intelligent due to their group dynamics, and behavior. Photographed in the Western Bahamas.
