Description
The Tridacna, or Giant Clam inhabits the warm Equatorial waters of the South Pacific. These giants grow to over four feet long and weigh in excess of 400 pounds. During daylight hours The Tridacna spreads it's brilliantly colored mantle, in order to expose the symbiotic algae living with the clam to the Sunlight it needs for photosynthesis.
