Description
The Cross Fox is a color variant of the more common Red Fox. The Cross Fox is more common in the Northern areas of the US and through out Canada. Cross Foxes are so named for the dark band of fur running along the spine which is crossed at the shoulders by another band of dark fur. The Cross Fox may be slightly larger than the Red Fox, and with a slightly bushier tail. This majestic Fox was photographed in Wyoming.
